When you take a girl as amazingly sweet as Jordan , it only make sense that she would have a beautiful baby girl that was born almost perfectly on her due date, has perfect skin, can sleep through anything, and the list goes on!
Most of the time when I photograph newborns, I’m on their schedule. We stop when they’re hungry, we let them suck on pacifiers to soothe them, we wait for them to get comfy and fall asleep, then we wait some more! Not this little angel. Once she fell asleep, she let me move her and continue to reposition her to get a million great shots.
I told Jordan this one could have her own calendar! She fell fast asleep in m basket…
And in her little purple basket…
And the list goes on! I also tried a new wrap on Bella and I think it’s adorable. Especially with this big yawn!
I had SO much fun capturing all the sweet little moments in Bella’s
first week of life. Jordan, you look amazing…and you’re such a great
mom!

With the incentive of eating ice cream and going swimming, Lauren braved 2 hours of temperatures in the 90s on Sunday! We had lots of outfit changes and she didn’t complain once. 🙂
She was an absolute trouper walking through a dirty old field to get these shots for me!
And her mom and dad were amazing…always ready with cold water and the next outfit change!
Lauren is quite stunning and has a naturally serious look, but there’s nothing like an authentic smile and it didn’t take much to make her laugh!
Best of luck to you, Lauren! I know you’ll go far. 🙂

Fighting for a parking spot at the park today was well worth the trouble to photograph this cutie! I didn’t realize I had chosen such a popular park…we even had someone waiting for my spot while we finished up the paperwork.
This 7 month old is quite the little thinker. She was alert and interested in every passer-by, every dog…she caught it all. 🙂 My job was to get my camera in between her and whatever fascinated her!
She has a stunning serious look, but I wanted some smiles too, so her mom was amazing in helping me get some of these…
She even put her pants on again and again so she could pull them off and get this fabulous laugh!
What a little sweet potato…as her mom calls her! 🙂

I’ve been wanting a tutu for a long time. And if you know tutus, you know Kaiya Eve has the best ones ever. Shannon passed this one to me that Madi had worn and Jillian was thrilled. This was part two of my cancellation photo series!
And what do ya think of Jillian’s new do? My friend Jessica babysat Jillian and did her hair, so I had to try it!
Jillian had so much fun with her new tutu. I already have several ideas for places to take it for photos. 🙂

What is that saying about the cobbler’s children that all have holes in their shoes? I don’t want my kids to end up with no pictures of themselves because I was too busy taking pictures of other people’s children!
So, when I had a cancellation this weekend, I decided to take Cooper out all by himself for a fun photo shoot. We explored and just had fun together!
Cooper is my little ham, so my goal with this session was to get some more serious looks…and not so many cheesy smiles. Although his cheesy smile is pretty cute.
The stool is new…it’ll be popping up again. I love it!

No..I’m not going on tour. 🙂 It’s time to pound the pavement. I’ve signed up for another half marathon. I’ve talked my friends into it, which means I have to run too. I have two under my belt, plus a few other random smaller races.
I have to stop here and explain. I was the girl that got lapped in the mile run in high school. I’ve never been an athlete and the thought of running more than 5 minutes hurt thinking about it. So, if I can run for 13+ miles, then anyone can.
My ipod is my best friend during the whole training thing. I love listening to the band Down Here, plus a few other random songs like Boulevard of Broken Dreams, When did your Heart go Missing…stuff that makes me want to dance! Or run.

Way back before Easter I did some headshots for Darnell. He was discovered at Walmart of all places! I always ask my modeling clients how they got into the business. It’s so interesting to hear about the places these talent scouts are finding cute kids! 🙂
I’m equally impressed to hear about all the other activities child models have time for. Darnell is into orchestra, the math club, etc. What a talented guy!
And his eyes are just piercing. And this is no post-processing secret…he just has amazing eyes!
On another note, I’ve started a few new categories, so I’m going to be going back through my old posts to sort them out. I now have a new category…just for child models!

I had a first today. I met a 14 month old beatboxer! This one has rhythm!! He has to be the cutest little guy ever with his big brown eyes, amazing hair and he is FULL of personality.
Samuel did great with 6 outfit changes and was full of smiles and some pretty soulful looks!
And here’s the preppier side of Samuel…
I’m sure we’ll be seeing lots more of Samuel in the future!
