Happy New Year everyone! As we head into January I can be sure there will be lots of rainy days. Usually clients think that they need to cancel their session if it’s raining. That’s not necessarily the case. Last weekend was raining off and on, so I took Jillian out to splash in the puddles with her galoshes and umbrella. She had SO much fun and I got some great expressions. We had so much fun incorporating rain (not down-pour…just a little drizzle!) into the pictures!
For you local people, I was driving down Castro Valley Boulevard looking for a big puddle for her to jump in. This one is in the side parking lot of Rite-Aid. A cool place in a not-so-cool location!
When it got a little too rainy, we ducked under the shelter of the loading dock for some more pictures:
So as a client, think about how much fun your kids will have splashing in the rain…that is if you’re lucky enough to book a rainy day. 🙂

LOVE THESE!!! Ironically, I just purchased Olivia an umbrella today. Maybe we should get our rain boots on and try to find some puddles! Great shots!

Thanks a LOT… my husband is not going to be happy with the 200+ that I spent at Gymboree today on a new rain slicker, boots, umbrella, head bands, and everything else I was lured into buying once I got in there.
