This has been one of my favorite shoots to date.  But not why you would think.  I live in Southern California, where it hardly ever rains.  

The day before, I texted everyone that was scheduled to show up that we had rain predicted.  I expected most people to cancel, but the exact opposite happened.

Everyone wanted to move forward with the photoshoot, knowing that it’s very hard to reschedule with working parents and kids.

This was the first family of the morning and they showed up with umbrellas and rain boots ready to make the most of it.  My assistant stood over me with an umbrella so my camera would stay dry.

It was that kind of a day!  But, attitude is everything and they brought it.  They had fun laughing and snuggling together.  And bonus…the photos turned out awesome!
