When Diana showed up, she asked if she should change into the red converse she brought. Trying not to jump up and down, I answered…um, YES! I love when the perfect shoes make the picture…and I think these really do!
I love the way these turned out…and Sophie is so cute she’s nearly edible. 🙂

So after a super busy week I’m finally admitting that I’m starting to feel sick. Ugh. It’s no fun being sick and I’ve done my best to take Airborne, drink plenty of water and eat healthy, but sometimes burning the wick on both ends catches up to you!
Anyway, I have lots pictures to share and some beautiful families that are excited to see a little sneak peek from their photo session.
I’ll share a few posts tonight and then try to get caught up again this week!!
Such a cute family…and the third time Elise has been in front my camera. Yeah for familiar faces!!

I had a great week of photo sessions ending with some familiar friends! Weston came out to the Rascals to Rebels event last summer…and boy has he grown!!
I also got to meet his big brother…don’t they look so much alike!?
After playing around in the back yard for awhile, we decided to go inside. I love these serene pictures of the boys playing with their trains.
We ended the photo session with the boys’ cousins who dropped by for a quick updated picture for their Christmas cards. I cannot believe this is the same baby I photographed not even 2 months ago…wow.
It is such a treat to be able to see clients again and again! I love my job and I love my clients!!
Can’t wait for you to see the rest of the pictures–

I had so much fun planning this photo session and being able to use some of my vintage furniture. In fact, I just bought a new piece last weekend that needs a little TLC…but it’ll be showing up in sometime soon!
Harrison and Lauren kept me on my toes! We had lots of fun running around the park and showing off their super cute outfits!
I love working with toddlers because they just call it like it is…you get the range of emotions from serious to super duper excited. No cheesey smiles…it’s all authentic here!
I had a great time and can’t wait to show you the rest of the pictures!!

Yesterday I received my first batch of holiday cards in the mail! I was so excited to put the first set of cards together and someone is feeling very “on top of things” to have their cards ready to mail before HALLOWEEN!!
For the rest of us, that are just starting to think about Christmas, getting pictures done and cards made….I have a few time slots left this Saturday for 20 minute family sessions. The sessions will take place at a local park. This is the last Saturday I have until mid-December! And the pricing is a phenomenal $100 session fee. You will have 15-25 pictures in your gallery and a la carte pricing applies. See my website for print prices. Email me info@kristineldridge.com if you would like to reserve a spot for Saturday.
This year, I have a set of Urban Holiday cards and Traditional Holiday cards. To see the full set, scroll down to the bottom of the blog and click on the links in the bottom left hand corner.
Here are a few favorites…
The 2008 templates are also available to use and digital files are available for purchase.

Last weekend I had a photo shoot at Rascals to Rebels to showcase some of the gorgeous holiday clothes they have in right now! I was like a kid in a candy shop picking outfits for the models and I love the way they POP against the back drop.
The sign ups are now open for the Holiday mini-sessions at both the Rossmoor and Huntington Beach stores.
Huntington Beach: November 13 (3:00-5:00pm), November 14 (10:00am-noon)

This ensemble is one of my favorites! The dress is by Tru Luv and the adorable boys jacket is by Knuckleheads.
The Tru Luv dress also looks so cute with this collared shirt by Penguin Kids. In fact, I walked away with this shirt…it’s SO cute!!
Speaking of Penguin Kids, this little vest ensemble is SOOOO perfect for the holidays!
And this Penguin sweater vest…ahhh little boys finally have clothes just as fun to shop for as little girls clothes!
A few more cute holiday dresses….
And one last Volcom sweater that I happened to leave with as well! Love the understated stripes!
These photo sessions are going to go fast….and so are the cute clothes!!

Let’s talk about food for a moment… I think I mentioned that Palm Springs has the most amazing restaurants and unique eateries. A few of my favorites from our recent trip are:
The King’s Highway at The Ace Hotel
look at these cute menus!
I had the ricotta hot cakes with maple crunch butter & banana. Delicious.
We also went to Cheeky’s for breakfast and it was so good we had to go back for lunch as well! The day we went for breakfast, coffee was served with this adorable creamer jar. I think I’ve seen these at Ikea. I’ll have to pick one up next time I’m there. It’s adorable details that make the dining experience that much more enjoyable!
…and these cheerful orange chairs! Oh my. I wish I could have done a photo shoot here.
Okay…on to the food. Brent and I have a deal when we out for breakfast. One of us orders sweet, the other savory. You know the feeling where you just can’t decide which you want…sweet or savory, sweet or savory!? We share. It’s pretty awesome.
I got scrambled eggs with chives, a homemade cheddar biscuit and sage sausage (made in-house).
Brent got cornflake crusted nutella french toast with strawberries. My absolute favorite part about this was the little home for the syrup. And I don’t even like syrup!! I guess I just like cute containers.
This particular dish was so incredible I went home and tried to re-create it. It came pretty close!!
I spread Nutella between two slices of wheat bread. The sandwich is cut diagnoally and dipped in eggs (whipped with cinnamon and nutmeg), then dipped in crushed cornflakes. I coated my griddle with cooking spray and browned all sides. Top with strawberries!
Go get yourself a jar of nutella and enjoy a yummy Sunday breakfast!

So, I already posted the hanging chair picture that made me swoon, but we also ran around the rest of the lobby taking pictures, so here are a few more…
The front of The Parker is a site to behold…all graphic and a pop of orange.
Another great seating area…
love love love this location!

I’d like to introduce you to the most amazing hotel in Palm Springs, The Parker. I had heard about the place, but truly, you must see it in person! The decor is so fantastic your eyes just don’t want to stop looking around.
First of all, how awesome is it, that this getaway is only an hour and a half away from home!? Doesn’t this fee like it should be much further than that?
The room we stayed in had a little balcony, perfect for morning coffee.
The lobby is made up of individual seating areas…such a great way to encourage socializing!
Tip: Sign up for the mailing list for insane off-season deals. Oh and the food here, ahhh the food. It’s delicious and deserves a blog post by itself!
