I know it’s easy to focus on the kids for annual portraits.  But, it’s also so important to get in the photos!

I love the way this family switches off year to year.  Sometimes it’s just the kids, but they always make sure to include themselves every other year.

Photos document how much our kids change, but they also document relationships.  And parenting our kids year to year changes too.  

This location was so perfect for this casual session.  The overgrown dry brush adds so much texture to the photos.  There’s also trails, fences and a few small hills with big trees.
