This afternoon I delivered a print order for one of my previous maternity clients (click here to see their pictures) and got to meet their new baby, Manasi! He was adorable and already had a full head of hair. I’m looking forward to many more photo sessions with their family in the future.
Here’s another December newborn…
Sam was one of my Arkansas clients…he was the perfect little sleeper. He even gave me a few smiles!
All these December babies are reminding me of 9 years ago, when my first baby Jake was born in December. He was due right after Christmas but came just before, so we spent our first Christmas together as a family. Such great memories…

Babies under the age of sitting on their own are often subject to “tummy time.” As parents, tummy time is our way of encouraging babies to lift that big ol’ heavy head on their own and build upper body strength.
In fact my friend, Jeff, was bragging to me tonight that his baby girl can do one armed push ups after extended tummy time. 🙂
Sometimes, during my photo sessions, tummy time is used to gets babies to lift up their heads and I get the cutest expressions!
Emryn was SO cute as she struggled to keep her head up and this series of photos has me oohing and ahhing, with each image being cuter than the last.
What an absolute doll! Emryn…you’re just about edible!!

Super cute twin boys came by the studio yesterday…
They are 3 months old and not sitting yet, so I had to get creative with poses for them!
Here they are propped on the white sofa for a mere second until one or the other of them fell over! Thank goodness for helpers. And it didn’t phase them…they kept on trying to sit up!
The ooey-gooey smiles came when they were looking right at their mom. Ahhh….
Such sweet little boys…you make my job fun!

There is nothing like a newborn…really. They are a world of promise all wrapped up in a tiny little package.
Sweet little Eden had stayed awake for hours and hours before meeting me, so it didn’t take long for her to konk out! She was such a petite little thing…and I had fun using some of my girly-girl props with her. I even got to introduce her to her first pink pacifier. 🙂
Such a beautiful family…
Santa Baby…
Autumn and Nathan…I loved getting to know you both. Eden is the perfect addition to your family and I hope these images will be meaningful for years to come.

There are times when life throws you a curve ball. When you just have to roll with the punches…and see where it takes you! Yesterday, my 3:30 photo session at the beach quickly turned into 4:15 and we had about 30 minutes to chase the sun down. Due to traffic, unforeseen circumstances and little carsick boy we were a little delayed.
BUT…this didn’t stop us from having a good time. We worked it out…double time.
We kept the kids smiling and posing with the promise to RUN at the end of the photo session. Here’s the last shot of the day…makes my heart happy.
And with that, a perfect end to a Friday.

There’s this thing that happens around this time of year…my blog goes by the wayside. I am trying to keep my head above water with photo sessions, print orders, client meetings, etc. and the poor blog gets a little neglected. So, in an effort to keep you all updated, here’s some pictures of my holiday packaging.
I love these chocolate brown photo boxes with satin ribbon bows and custom stickers. Don’t they look festive!?
Here’s a little trick that Laura of Ascot Friday taught me about this ribbon…it’s actually yardage. I buy a yard of crepe back satin and cut about 2 inches down then give it a hearty rip. The ends will curl and you have a nice fat piece of ribbon to tie into bows. I love the way it looks and it’s so much cheaper than buying a wide ribbon of that quality.
I promise to share more soon…I had two more photo sessions today, one tomorrow and a big one year old birthday bash on Saturday. Not to mention the family photographs from Arkansas AND the photo sessions I did there at Terra Tots.
Like I said, just trying to keep my head above water!!

I’ve had an influx of toddlers with new siblings. It’s so fun to see how the family dynamic changes…especially because I remember going through the change not too long ago. And what’s even funnier is 6 months from now, these toddlers won’t even REMEMBER what life was like without their little sibling.
Here’s Jack when I met him a year ago…
And here’s Jack now with his new little sister.
She’s pretty cute.
And I think Jack looks pretty happy to be a big brother!
Such a cute family and I’m so happy to be able to photograph Jack with his new little sister. 🙂

Do your remember this baby?
You’re never going to believe this is her now…
I’m so lucky to get to see babies grow up…I’ll be able to say some day, I met you when you were just a week old!
Here’s Tessa and her mommy back then…
And now…
And a sweet family picture…
Ann and Michael…thanks for having me back! I loved seeing Tessa again…she keeps getting cuter. 🙂
