There is something truly magical about photographing a brand-new little life. As a Long Beach newborn photographer, I’m invited into some of the most intimate, fleeting moments a family will ever experience. This week, I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful family who welcomed their first baby—an incredibly calm, squishy, perfect little boy who absolutely melted my heart.Read More
I love sharing snippets from my newborn photo shoots in the Long Beach studio! It’s a little glimpse into a brand new life with a little one. Capturing these memories for my clients is a true joy. Babies grow so fast that it’s important to schedule as close to the two week mark as possible.
I typically start with parents and baby because I keep the room warm. The longer clients are sitting in the warm room, the more they start to feel the heat. Plus, it’s nice to get that part done so parents can relax and watch me photograph the baby alone. Read More
I’m a baby photographer in Long Beach and this sweet little photo session with Baby J started out with her big sister. Usually my first pose is the older sibling sitting cross legged while holding the baby in their lap. From there, I’ll have the older sibling lay on their tummy with their head close to the baby. It’s the perfect position for giving kissing and taking close-up shots.Read More
It’s all about the soft winter white for this Newport Beach baby photographer! I love how dreamy this session turned out. The light coming into the studio is very conducive to newborn sessions.
When I go out to eat, I don’t mess around. If it’s a place I haven’t been before, I’m asking friends, checking the website and reading all the Yelp reviews. Life it too short to pay for a bad meal!
And I would recommend treating photography the same way. Do your research before you commit to a photographer. Who wants to spend hundreds of dollars on an experience you hate or photos you don’t love!?
The majority of my newborn sessions happen in my studio. And if not in my studio, then at a client’s home. But, every so often, I have a family that prefers nature.
Photographing babies is always special, but photographing the baby of someone you know is the icing on the cake. And, when that baby is over-the-top cute and so cooperative you have to keep checking that she’s a real baby, you just pinch yourself!
Here’s Baby Kendall and all the hats, baskets and blankets she modeled for me!
One of my recent photo sessions was triplet head shots for their agency, Zuri Model and Talent.
Here are the boys…
When identical boys like this are booked, the agency will want them to look as similar as possible in the photos. They will typically get cast for one role, so they want to be able to double for each other!
Cuteness runs in this family, because the boys’ sister is a stunner and she’s also modeling with Zuri!

Oh how I love to see first time parents. These tiny little bundles change them. Life will never be the same and you never knew you could love someone so much!
