There’s a black hole that exists in my desk top. I get a little busy and start throwing images into folders and next thing I know I’ve completely forgotten about an event or experience that I photographed. Don’t worry, client images are carefully backed up TWICE, labeled and categorized. The black hole theory only applies to personal photos. 🙂
Anyway, I was cleaning out folders and came across a lunch I had with two of my bestest friends. And since one of them just left to New Zealand for 3 months, it needed blogging.
Whenever we get together it involves food, lots of good food.
It also involves cute kids…lots of cute kids! The camera inevitably gets turned on Peach…the littlest of all our kids. She’s edible. 🙂
I’ll share a few more pictures of Peach, since there are no pictures of the adults! Once you’re 30ish, you don’t really like having the camera turned on you. Unless, you have time for hair and makeup!
These were taken in Jillian’s room, which I haven’t shared yet, but you get the idea. Lots of pale pink and green…the inspiration for my logo and website. I still want to paint her walls, so until then you get this little sneak peek.
Rachel, if you’re reading this, we miss you already!

Part of what I love so much about what I do is my subjects! For those of you who haven’t met me in person, I’m all about kids. I spent a few years as a first grade teacher and my whole married life before kids dying to be a mom! Now that I have three of my own, I love every bit of all the ups and downs that is involved in being a kid. When I photograph children, I want to roll all of that up into an image that makes you gasp and say, “oh that is SO…fill in the blank with your child’s name…”
It’s what makes me tick. It’s what makes me love my job. 🙂
I’ve got one more “share” tomorrow from the mini-sessions before I wrap it all up and order the prints for all my lovely clients!

My internet is back up for the time being…woo hoo! So, I have to quickly share some valentine wallet options for my clients who participated in the valentine mini-sessions. The wallets have rounded corners and come in sets of 8 for $30 plus tax. If any other clients would like to use a previous image for valentine wallets, just email me with your order. These make lovely tags on baked goods or presents for all your valentines!

This week was crazy as I was pulling together all the last minute details for the photo shoots at Rascals to Rebels. Of course my internet connection was spotty all week, so as soon as that light was on, I was working like mad to get things done. And according to Murphy’s Law, if it can go wrong, it will….the internet connection has been dead since Thursday. I’m surprisingly calm as I sit at The Coffee Bean trying to keep up with business! Maybe it’s because I’m still on a high from all the amazingly cute kids that came through the doors over the last two days.
It’ll take me awhile to do all the sharing, but here are a few of my favorites from Friday…
Well, my time is about to run out at The Coffee Bean, so I have to save the rest of the sharing for later. Hopefully, Charter Communications will get their act together soon!!!

I feel like we just wrapped up Christmas, how can Valentine’s Day be just around the corner? I don’t know, but it is. I’m a sucker for holidays…even if it is just for Hallmark’s sake. It’s an excuse to be festive, give gifts and of course take pictures.
Like I said yesteday, I’ll be at Rascals to Rebels at The Shops at Rossmoor on January 30 and 31 for 15 minute mini-photo sessions. The store just called to say there’s only one spot left…so if you haven’t gone over there, RUN! 🙂 I’m so excited because I’m working with Laura, the set designer at a local Anthropolgie, to put a mini-set together for the photo sessions. She has amazing style, so I can’t wait to see what we come up with!
If you’re one of the luckies that already has their spot booked for next weekend…can’t wait to meet you!

Do they look cold!? Because they definitely were! I’m thawing out today, catching up on laundry and taking a turn on the other side of the camera today.
I know I’m way behind on emails right now, so I promise to catch up soon…along with everything else! I’ve got a ton of great pictures to share from the snow- those are coming soon too. 🙂

I just mailed off another canvas today, so I snapped a quick picture of it before it went to its happy owner!
Canvases are such a modern alternative to framing prints. They look clean and classic…but different from what most people have on their walls. PLUS…you take it out of the box and put it on your wall. It’s literally that easy. The canvases come with archival paper on the back, hardware and little bumpers to protect your wall.
Another product I’m loving these days are mini-books. They are perfect for stashing away in your handbag and showing off your kids at school, the gym, shopping…wherever you might be. Kids love them too. Anything mini is bound to be popular! These little guys are 5×5, come with a custom cover and the pages can range from simple to fancy (as shown).
Hope you enjoyed today’s sampling of fun products!!

This weekend I drove down to Laguna Niguel to photograph Jamie at week 34 of her pregnancy. She’s a pregnant model and also owns a spray tan business. This is her third baby…wow.
It’s probably a good thing that not all of us look this amazing while pregnant…the world might get a little over populated. 🙂
I love this moment captured between her and Michael…
Like I said, Jamie and Michael already have two precious little girls. They napped during the entire photo session and woke up chipper just as the sun was setting.
Jamie and I talked about doing some more traditional maternity shots, then incorporating a pop of color. I’ll end this post with a few that we took just outside her back door. Amazing!
Thanks Jamie and Michael for a great photo session…I hope you enjoy the pictures! And I can’t wait to meet Jace!!
