I am going to back track a little to show the set up that the Anthro girls put together for the event last weekend. As per usual, every detail was amazing!
This table set up included hand-made doggie biscuits and delicious mini-cupcakes for their owners. It blended seamlessly into the home decor part of the store.
Across from the edibles were dog-related products like artist comissioned tees, candles and soap for dogs along with Glamour Dogs and a knitting book to make your own doggie sweaters!
You can also see a little rack of chic dog collars that the girls had made to give to all the customers who came out for the event. What pampered pets!!
I offered a limited edition accordion album for the event. It is black leather and holds twelve 4×6 images. I love the way it displays!
I am a firm believer that details make the difference. The whole Newport team hosted an unforgettable event for all the dogs and their owners! From the homemade dog biscuits and collars to the amazing products and complimentary photo sessions…it was a success!

I’d like to introduce a few friends from last weekend’s photo shoot at Anthropologie…
Eloise, Bailey, Skeeter, Pony Max and Roxy
When all was said and done there were over 20 dogs that came to see me…each with its own cute little personality! I’ll share more from the sessions soon…in the meantime, I have a few more days of vacation to enjoy.

Today I met up with Peter and Maggie for a little practice session at Anthropologie. I worked with the amazing Laura and Meagan to come up with a fabulous set for our doggie sessions this Saturday. They even arranged for Peter and Maggie to be my doggie models.
I love this chair…maybe I should just take it home with me afterward!
I’m so excited about Saturday and all the fun things we are going to come up with for the doggie photo sessions! Thanks again to the lovely Peter and Maggie for modeling. 🙂

How can you not have fun while wearing a tutu!?
This little cutie came out for her one year pictures at The Rascals to Rebels Event in Huntington Beach. Look at those eyelashes! I thought only boys got eyelashes that long and curly. 🙂
I think I might have to require that tutus be worn by all one year olds at photo sessions. 🙂

I gotta tell ya…I love clothes. When clients show up in cute outfits…I am so inspired. I love the way that a well-put together outfit can take a photo shoot to the next level of cuteness. 🙂
H&M is one of my favorite places to shop for my own kids and I was thrilled with Kathy showed up with her kids decked out head to toe in H&M Fall. LOVE! The boys skinny jeans are amazing and the pricing on everything at H&M is super affordable.
There were SO many cute outfits today…I can’t wait to share more on the blog in the next few days!

I love newborns…everything about them…the way they arch their back, then curl up. The smell, oh my goodness. They just smell new. And tiny fingers and toes…so cute.
All this to say, I was more than tickled to hear that someone signed up for the Rascals to Rebels mini-sessions while she was pregnant. She knew she was having a c-section and that date happened to be a week before the Rascals to Rebels event. What perfect timing. Little Cole would be a week old, the best time to have newborn pictures taken. My only complaint was that 15 minutes just wasn’t enough time. 🙂
He did, however, curl up on my woven chair and smile at me. Perfect.
I’m in love…

So, it’s no secret that I love kids in color for photos. Go bold…it always pays off. Kids have such perfect skin tones and sparkly eyes. They can pull off colors that might be a little much for people over 18!
These little girls from yesterday totally stood out to me, because their outfits were fun and full of color. I love the richness in the photos. Way to go, mom!
I love to put together clothing inspiration boards for my clients and even shop for them. The right clothing takes images from good to fabulous!!
