Photographing babies is always special, but photographing the baby of someone you know is the icing on the cake. And, when that baby is over-the-top cute and so cooperative you have to keep checking that she’s a real baby, you just pinch yourself!
Here’s Baby Kendall and all the hats, baskets and blankets she modeled for me!
One of my recent photo sessions was triplet head shots for their agency, Zuri Model and Talent.
Here are the boys…
When identical boys like this are booked, the agency will want them to look as similar as possible in the photos. They will typically get cast for one role, so they want to be able to double for each other!
Cuteness runs in this family, because the boys’ sister is a stunner and she’s also modeling with Zuri!

Oh how I love to see first time parents. These tiny little bundles change them. Life will never be the same and you never knew you could love someone so much!

More spring mini-sessions coming up! The wildflowers are starting pop up here and there, so by mid-April they’ll be perfect for photo sessions. I’m going to wait until the week before to pick the exact location (to see which of my favorites has the best flower growth), but it will be in Long Beach, Seal Beach or Huntington Beach.
Here’s the details: $100 for a 20 minute session The first 2 to sign up for April 20 and the first 2 to sign up for April 21 will get a free digital image with their purchase. [info@kristineldridge.com or 562.980.6480]

As you can see, the times are in the evening, because there’s just nothing better than sunset lighting in a field of long grass and wildflowers! This could be a great Mother’s Day gift or think ahead for Father’s Day!
This morning I wanted to share an Etsy page with you! My mother-in-law has been making knitted cocoons for me for a few years now and I recently got her started on hats! The hats are really reasonably priced and I love that they are not only great for a newborn prop, but cute enough and practical enough for your baby to wear around every day.
Here’s the link to her Etsy shop and here are a few of my favorite hats! (She still has the cocoons listed as well.)
Did you know that every astronaut that has been into space was a first born? Or that half the American presidents and Nobel Peace Prize winners are first born? Those over-achievers! I would love a statistic on artists and musicians that are middle children and babies. Their free spirits make it easy for them to explore the world in a different way.
I recently wrote a post for Tiny Oranges about my thoughts on birth order. I’m curious to know if you agree. Do you parent your children differently? And how do you try to build their strengths and challenge their weaknesses based on their birth order?
//Here’s a few ‘shares’ from my family photography in Long Beach, Los Angeles and Orange County.
If you missed the first two posts about Annie’s colorful modern home, you can check them out here and here. Or you can stay here and enjoy Baby Charlie’s nursery! I love when one incredible find can kick off a whole theme. The white elephant mount was an etsy find, which spurred handmade elephant art, custom bedding and so many details and that tie everything together in this adorable nursery.
I’ve been working hard to restore a few pieces of vintage furniture for the mini-sessions this year! Everything turned out so cute…I’m excited to share the sample pictures with you!
Here are the details…March 16 8:40am-10:40am Long Beach park location, 20 minute sessions, $100
These spots will go quickly, so email me at info@kristineldridge.com or call 562-980-6480 to reserve your spot.
