The inspiration for this picture was the Lord and Taylor 2008 spring “reality” ads. I searched online to find one to post, but had no luck. If you love fashion magazines, I’m sure you’ve seen the ads. It’s controlled chaos. Finding beauty in the mundane.
I had a blast working with Cindy to create the scene. Huge kuddos to her for pulling it off and having such a creative vision! She wanted this picture to be used for their holiday card, so we pulled in a bit of what everyone was up to this year. Madeline sports her ice skates, three-year old Gabe holds a book that he was actually reading (!) , Chuck is on his mountain bike and Cindy is on point holding a drum that she made. Oh and let’s not forget Lulu, the new dog!
Well, we didn’t just do this…we also had a shoot in “the meadow”…a perfect area of aspens and overgrown grass.
This picture was actually taken in old town Evergreen with all the colorful building fronts behind Madeline.
Cindy mentioned that their wedding in Napa was so hot that they really didn’t get any pictures of themselves, so they wanted a few with just the two of them. I loooove this one:
…and how happy they are in this one:
What a beautiful family…inside and out!
