My go-to pose for families with wiggly little ones is putting the kids in front of them. This way, the kids have some movement, but they’re contained!
If parents are trying to hold a wiggly child it can be cumbersome and look like it in the photos!
Sometimes, I’ll crop in so the kids are together in front of their parents. This is especially helpful if I can’t get the kids to stay together long enough for a photo.
In this case, we were able to be silly and entertain the kids long enough to stand by themselves in close proximity. But, if I’m not able to make that happen, this will ensure I have a photos of the kids together.
I also love having the parent kneel down to their level. Not only does it create a sense of intimacy in the photo, but it lets the child know they have their parent’s full attention. In this pose, I’ll usually give prompts like whispers and kisses.
