I’m a big fan of muted neutral colors for photo sessions. This palette has just the right amount of color mixed with pattern and texture.
Mamas…the ones who make the world go round…this is for you.
I’ll be opening my Long Beach studio on May 2 for a special discounted event. Come with your baby or come with your big kids.
It’s been a minute since I’ve offered spring mini-sessions. But, IT’S TIME! We’re so lucky to have an abundance of wildflowers and long grass. All that texture is so pretty for photos!
I loved having a fresh wreath on my front door over the Christmas season. Now that it’s been a few months, I realized how much I missed it!
So, I decided to try my hand at making a wreath from fresh greens. The nice thing about using fresh green is that they bend easily, so it’s not hard to fill the frame.
Annie had gorgeous long lashes and cheeks for days. She slept like a champ and her big sister was the sweetest thing ever.
I love when newborn sessions flow perfectly and this one was one for the books. I was able to wrap Annie and photograph her in such a natural way because she was so relaxed.
When you see photos that aren’t posed, you feel like you’re getting a ‘fly on the wall’ vantage point of the subjects life.
But, how do you achieve that as a photographer? How do you take naturally candid photos when they hired you to be there?
My chef-friend introduced me to the easiest and most delicious way to make salsa. I used to go the pico de gallo route when I wanted to make a fresh salsa.
The difference that roasting makes is amazing! I love the depth of flavor and it just mellows out the heat.
This was a favorite photo session of mine for a number of reasons.
First, the family was as sweet as could be. I mean, I didn’t even have to try and big brother was cooperative and wanting to cuddle the baby. The entire family was so loving to each other, which always makes my job easy as a photographer.
I booked tickets to Barcelona and asked everyone, where else should we go while in Spain?
The unanimous answer: GRANADA!

The first thing I noticed about Baby J was his lips. I mean, this cute guy had the fullest, sweetest lips ever. Then I saw big brother’s curls…these boys are heartbreakers!
