You know those bananas that are too brown for your kids to eat? The ones that sit on the counter getting darker by the day until someone decides to do something with them. Since my to-do list is overflowing these days, I do speed baking. I pre-heat the oven with the goal of finishing the recipe by the time oven is preheated. Now that is fast, folks.
It helps to have the recipe memorized. Don’t be too impressed, it’s just the Betty Crocker recipe with the addition of brown sugar sprinkled on top. That is what really makes it delicious…thanks Kelli Gleeson!
And this banana bread is gone by the time after school snack is over! For those of you that don’t know, I love to bake. That is when I have time! There are a few cooking/baking blogs I’ve come across lately.
My favorite is Lottie and Doof. My personal favorite is his macaroni and cheese…a crowed pleaser for sure! I also love the Warm Strawberry Crumb Cake, but it’s only appropriate for company or I’ll be tempted to eat the whole thing!!

Looks delicious! How do you stay so skinny with all the baking??????
I’m SO hungry.
Have you gotten into pioneer woman? She’s a riot, her blog is so fun and her recipes are delicious. Her pumpkin cheesecake was a huge hit at thanksgiving last year. 🙂
