On a recent trip down to LA to visit these friends,

(I’m the one in the middle!)  I tasted a Sprinkles cupcake.  Shannon drove us down to the Beverly Hills Sprinkles Cupcake Store so we could try the famous cupcakes.  I’m telling you, these cupcakes are AMAZING!  I admit to being a sugar fiend and these take the cake.
So, when my friend Vanessa came by to pick up her order this week and brought me a package I was overjoyed to open it and find this:

What a sweet thing to do!  I told her we’d have her and Mia over for cupcakes later, but I just couldn’t wait until later, so the very next day the kids and I broke into the red velvet mix.  I had these heart shaped cupcake holders, which turned out perfectly with the red tinted cupcake.

Taste-testers are always welcome in my kitchen!

The cupcakes are every bit as good as I remembered…especially with some homeade cream cheese icing!

Vanessa also gave each of the kids their own cupcake tote, so Jake was sent to school today with his very own Sprinkles cupcake!

So, thank you again Vanessa for the lovely treat!  I can’t wait to try the vanilla with you and Mia. 🙂
