I spent yesterday evening putting together parcels for all my lovely clients from the Valentine Mini-Sessions. Everything turned out amazing and needed an extra-special touch in the packaging.
It’s so fun to see all these parcels together!
I put together a few limited edition albums and they are such a great way to incorporate all your photos. The leather cover has an amazing texture and the pages are hinged UV-coated. Each photo has a black proofing border, so no turning from side to side- vertical and horizontal images face the same way!
If you are interested in this album, it will be available until the end of February for Valentine participants only.
I hope everyone is enjoying their goodies! Stayed tuned for future collaborations with Rascals to Rebels. And in the meantime, drop by their store…the spring collections are soooo cute!

I guess Cooper was right! Today, I went to Anthropologie at Fashion Island to photograph the visual team modeling outfits as part of their spring inspiration.
Anthropologie has done it right. They hire teams of people to turn their stores into eye candy. The type that doesn’t let you get out of the store without something you MUST have. They have a cohesive theme amongst the stores, but each store you visit will be unique. It makes us consumers need to visit any Anthro we come across, because NO we haven’t seen it all.
Kelly told me someone wanted to literally take off this necklace and buy it. Me too!
Laura wanted to style this shoot after The Satorialist.
Well, girls…thanks for adding a little glamour and excitement to my day!

There’s a black hole that exists in my desk top. I get a little busy and start throwing images into folders and next thing I know I’ve completely forgotten about an event or experience that I photographed. Don’t worry, client images are carefully backed up TWICE, labeled and categorized. The black hole theory only applies to personal photos. 🙂
Anyway, I was cleaning out folders and came across a lunch I had with two of my bestest friends. And since one of them just left to New Zealand for 3 months, it needed blogging.
Whenever we get together it involves food, lots of good food.
It also involves cute kids…lots of cute kids! The camera inevitably gets turned on Peach…the littlest of all our kids. She’s edible. 🙂
I’ll share a few more pictures of Peach, since there are no pictures of the adults! Once you’re 30ish, you don’t really like having the camera turned on you. Unless, you have time for hair and makeup!
These were taken in Jillian’s room, which I haven’t shared yet, but you get the idea. Lots of pale pink and green…the inspiration for my logo and website. I still want to paint her walls, so until then you get this little sneak peek.
Rachel, if you’re reading this, we miss you already!

…that the best part of shooting at the beach is under the pier. There’s something about the way the light comes in. I know I’ve mentioned that before, but it’s also the pillars of the pier. Seal Beach has amazing wood pillars and I found out the Huntington has perfectly grungey cement. The depth of field is perfect, the sun flare, need I go on??
Brice and Lindsey also happen to be the cutest engaged couple in Huntington Beach…
They will be getting married in Dallas this May…woo hoo!
Lindsay is actually an aspiring photographer, so I was talking as I was shooting (dangerous combo, I know!) telling her what I was doing, my settings, etc. I even let her take some pictures of me to try it out…sorry no shares of those pictures, my hair was a little wind-crazy! But, then I turned the camera on her…and I will share those!! She’s adorable. FYI, these were taken on top of the pier.
In other news, this morning the rain was pelting down…the hardest we’ve seen since we’ve lived here. So, do we curl up under a blanket with hot cocoa? NO. Brent turns on the jacuzzi and we sit out in the pouring cold rain. It was a fun way to kick off our weekend!

Here are the last of the cuties from the weekend!!
I had SO much fun meeting all the local families at Rascals to Rebels! Hopefully we’ll do another event soon. Great kids clothes and a great children’s photographer…it’s a perfect match. 🙂
If you’d like to be on my mailing list to be the first know when events come up, go to the main website, hit contact and send me a note!

Part of what I love so much about what I do is my subjects! For those of you who haven’t met me in person, I’m all about kids. I spent a few years as a first grade teacher and my whole married life before kids dying to be a mom! Now that I have three of my own, I love every bit of all the ups and downs that is involved in being a kid. When I photograph children, I want to roll all of that up into an image that makes you gasp and say, “oh that is SO…fill in the blank with your child’s name…”
It’s what makes me tick. It’s what makes me love my job. 🙂
I’ve got one more “share” tomorrow from the mini-sessions before I wrap it all up and order the prints for all my lovely clients!

My internet is back up for the time being…woo hoo! So, I have to quickly share some valentine wallet options for my clients who participated in the valentine mini-sessions. The wallets have rounded corners and come in sets of 8 for $30 plus tax. If any other clients would like to use a previous image for valentine wallets, just email me with your order. These make lovely tags on baked goods or presents for all your valentines!
