What to Wear [Spring Sessions]

These pictures are from Barlett Park and you can see how the kids are mixed and matched in pink and yellow.  I like the look of layering.  It adds interest to the photos.

Prints and solids are both okay to use.  You can see how the floral pattern looks really nice with the long grass.

A good rule of thumb…choose 2 main colors and mix and match within, using neutrals to compliment.  This is a very casual setting.  I’ll most likely ask you to sit on the ground, so don’t dress in something that isn’t comfortable or easy to move in.

You can see how in these photos, the color palette is kept neutral with denim, white and pale blue…then I threw in a quirky bow tie, a fedora hat and a subtle floral print.

Here’s another example of going really simple…just denim.  These twins have on denim overalls, but I also think it would look so cute for little boys to do a pair of jeans with now shirt or a simple white tank.  This would look adorable with bare feet too!

If you like more a stylized look, this is great inspiration.  I love how this client paired different floral skirts in the same color palette with the same hot pink top to tie it together.  The pink boots and different peral strands add a pop of interest!

Here’s another example of little details really ‘making’ an outfit.  The soft lace and feminine cut makes this blouse so much better than a plain white tee.  Paired with basic pants and a really FUN pair of sandals.  It makes the prop really stand out!
