I’m so excited to share a few places that I’m featured on the web!
First up is the “Just Spotted” blog. I’ve been nominated for this photography blog! The cool thing about this is that I’ve only been in business in the OC for 2 years. The award will go to the blog with the most votes, so pretty please throw a vote my way!!
To vote, click HERE and once you’re on the Just Spotted website (www.justspotted.com) click on the link to vote!
Remember Cooper’s birthday party a few weeks ago? Well, the party has been around the web! It’s featured on Sara’s Party Perfect.
And a Spanish website called Alguma Bossa. I’m not sure exactly what all the text says, but I think it’s good!!
Lastly, the website where I bought a lot of my party supplies at, Garnish, featured me on their blog!
Exciting news! So, don’t forget to spread a little blog love around and most importantly, DON’T FORGET TO VOTE FOR ME! http://www.just-spotted.com/2010/09/youve-just-been-spotted-oc-blog-award-nominees-2/
Have a great day!
I know it’s been awhile…and yes, I’m still alive! I’m writing this post from the Internet Cafe in Stevensville, Montana. It’s the place I go to get business done while I’m here visiting my family. I always have to laugh about the slow pace of life here and how it really doesn’t seem to matter.
We’ve spent our days floating the river, camping, fishing, shooting and watching thunderstorms from the porch. It’s such a nice break from city life and I’ve even had a chance to do a photo shoot with an adorable family from town.
I’ll share more from their session later, but in the meantime, here’s a few pictures of my gorgeous friend Allyson and her husband in the last few weeks before their baby arrives. I photographed them in Hume Lake while I was visiting…again, such a great get-away from the concrete jungle!
I’ll be back at home and in the office on Thursday morning, so if you’re waiting to hear back from me, it’ll be soon, I promise!
Time for my next Summer installation…Summer [By the Lake]! I’m super excited about this location. It’s so beautiful and just ethereal.
Here are the details: For the month of July I will be doing mini-sessions at this Long Beach location…20 minutes long and your choice of one digital image for $100. Additional digital images and prints can be purchased a la carte.
I’ve also decided to extend the By the Bay sessions for the month of July because I wasn’t able to fit everyone in the month of June that wanted to participate. AND, if you are interested in booking a wildflower session, book it right away because the wildflowers are on their way out!
The images work so well with a vintage feel, but also look great with punchy color!
I also found a little patch of wildflowers by the lake, so we can incorporate those as well!
Do your remember this baby?
You’re never going to believe this is her now…
I’m so lucky to get to see babies grow up…I’ll be able to say some day, I met you when you were just a week old!
Here’s Tessa and her mommy back then…
And a sweet family picture…
Ann and Michael…thanks for having me back! I loved seeing Tessa again…she keeps getting cuter.
I love a good close up. In fact, I try to make sure to nail an awesome close up for every photo session I do. There’s just something about seeing all the little details that we fall in love with every day. As one mom told me recently…I feel like he’s just looking straight at me in this picture.
So…the other afternoon as I was chasing the last bits of sunset at Rancho, I caught a few close ups to share with you.
I can’t wait to go back for all the little benches and architecture…
Tomorrow marks the start of two solid weeks with photo sessions every day! I can’t wait to share with you all the fun places I’ll go and the famililes I’ll meet!
I’ve shared before that I’m a details girl. I love when an ordinary item or event can be taken to fabulous with attention to the details.
A perfect example of this is my local dessert studio…Sweet and Saucy. When Melodi first opened her shop I heard about it from no less than five totally un-related friends. This girl knows how to network!
I headed in to buy some treats for a client and was totally blown away by her shop and the amazing goodies she makes.
Since then, I’ve been back time and time again. When I need to bring something extra special to a client or if I just want to treat the kids…this is where I go!
The last time I went, I brought my camera so I could share this with the rest of you!!
I’m in love with the decor…it’s understated and really chic.
I also love Melodi’s cake stands. Oh my goodness, I feel like I want to start my own collection!
She sells cupcakes…regular size and mini (which is what I get so I don’t feel quite so guilty!)
Cake Lollipops, which I had never seen before, are the perfect gift because they are easily portable and so unique!
Melodi is probably best known for her wedding cakes…which are out of this world. Go to her website and take a look. You’ll be blown away.
So, whether you need something special for a big event or just want a mid-day treat. Go to the shop in Long Beach at 6400 Stearns Street. She has these cute little half tables to stay and eat your treats!
Have a great Tuesday!
Whenever I get busy I turn into a little of a schizophrenic and bounce from job to job…so excited about each one…yet not giving full concentration to anything. I have to stop, take a breath and refocus!
So, this is the point where I’m telling myself to get back to work…so I can back track and give every photo session it’s due time on the blog!
As much as I love being in Montana to enjoy time with my family, the internet service leaves a lot to be desired. I generally end up making a trip into “town” to bum service off a local cafe.
So, that explains the lack of posts!
Before I left on Saturday, I got to hang out with a recently turned three year old and his mom. He was so much fun in ways that only three year olds are. We played hide-and-seek, see how high I can jump, find the biggest leaf, etc. until we headed over to the playground.
I love that mom brought a couple different shirts…it adds variety to the photo session.
Thanks for the fun times!
